So I got my quad core OC'ed to value 333 (3Ghz). I have been using this since July OC'd like that. Well I turn on my comp for a good afternoon of some TF2 action. Well XPs loading screen keeps at that screen forever. So I restart and the fans go turbo and the comp shuts down. This is the "ok you OC'd too far and I'm going to default values" message. Frustrated I go back to the same values but it can't go back to normal. Now I'm stuck with a 2.4Ghz CPU. :x What gives?

LMAO!

You have a Quad Core & you are "stuck" with 2.4GHz? Man, I wish I was "Stuck" with a Quad Core CPU running at only 2.4GHz. :P I'm stuck on only a Dual core & am happy when I have it overclocked to 2.41GHz...

All jokes aside, have you slowly tried to overclock your system back to 3.0ghz? Slowly raising the settings, the voltage & such? Silly question I know. How about your RAM? Is everything in that department ok, Settings & voltage wise?

No, I know what your saying haha! :D I didn't wanna pay like a grand for the 3GHz one lol. Yeah I tried to slowly go back up but it restarts as soon as I enter a value of 310. Last time the system was stable with no increase in voltage. The only thing I have OC'd so far is the CPU because it acts like a bottleneck. Plus apps constantly say you can't run stuff because it says it's only 2.4GHz.
