Hey, I recently bought a x800 xt Platinum and was wondering. Everyone says buy a 'x800 pro' and clock it to a 'x800 xt', then people say buy an 'x800 xt' and clock it to an 'x800 xt pe'. Well.... My graphics card is at 33 degrees running at 520 and 1150. Does that mean I can overclock it to a 'x800 xt platinum teh l33t gold thingy'? Just wondering thats all :P

What exactly is the difference between a 'x800 xt platinum' and 'x800 xt' apart from speeds?

Apart from speeds? Not much ( I don't think so atleast ). You should be able to clock the card a bit, but not too much with just stock cooling.

you've got red on you. ;)

as reaktor4 said, use atitool to see how high your card can overclock. it has a button to automatically find the speeds.

and the only difference between an overclocked x800xt and a x800xtpe is the name in the display settings window :O
