Right. Ive tried overriding the refresh rates for openGL in my Nvidia options but in CS, or in any game for that matter, it still runs at 60Hz @ 800x600. My monitor can do 85Hz @ 1024x768. Im not sure what else to try to get teh refresh rate up. Its locked at 60FPS at the moment.

Athlon 850Mhz

Why?

I'm not sure what to tell you... That procedure worked on my WinXP box. Entered driver setup, Refresh Rate Overrides > Override Refresh Rate > [my CS res] > changed from default to 85 Hz.

Oops, I completely missed that you said it wouldn't do anything other than 800x600. Can you get the refresh rates selection to work correctly when you set it for 800x600? Can you not select another resolution in the video setup? Which renderer are you using? Which drivers are you using?

Tried using ReForce?

Exactimately. I use it every time I update drivers for my 9800P, cause whenever I update it defaults to 1280x1024@60 rather than @75 and the picture is way off center.

That's wierd. When installing new drivers, do other people get that too?
Whenever I install the new ATI drivers, both my displays hold their resolution and refresh rate.
They stay at 2560x960@85 together (1280x960@85Hertz each).
