Okay, I got a slap on the wrists for posting requests for Kazaa before, but now I need help of a different kind but if this too is over-stepping the boundaries, then I'm sorry.

Anyway, basically I'm having problems with P2P file-sharing programs in that they appear to take over my connection and, whilst they work, internet explorer won't work, MSN won't sign on. All kinds of crazy fun. Does anyone have any reasons/remedies?
Cheers

Hmmm, I find it hard to believe but you might be using too much bandwidth. What type of connection you got? I think internet applications refuse to work if it takes too long tom load a page.

If you have 56k, that's the problem. If not, try netlimiter to monitor and limit individual connection and their speeds.

It's not a virus. I doubt it very much. We have a software firewall and it could be the problem because it's an angry one (which is why I doubt it could be a virus) but then why would it let one thing on and then deny something that was already running?
And it's broadband...
