:dozey: So yeah, not too long ago I got 1 Gig of ram! Windows automatically set the pagefile for me. It's about 1536 MB big. Knowing we certainly cannot trust Windows I need some reassuring! I've 2 drives and 4 partitions so i've got "4 drives". Should I equally split an equal amount to each drive equaling 1536 MB? Should my pagefile be lower or higher? Is pagefile even needed with 1 Gig of ram?

Pagefiles are such a grey area. You'll get so many different answers from different people, your head will spin around and explode!

I always leave it at 1,5 the amount of ram, and fix the minimal and maximal amount to the same amount. If your system partition is big enough I'd keep it there. There is no reason to place it on the other logical drives.

Yes, it's necessary. You ought to put it on the lesser-used physical drive, but beyond that it doesn't matter much. That size is fine.
