Who here participates in paid surveys? I've recently gotten into it. You gotta be careful because a lot of groups will try to scam you for access to the LIST of surveys (which you can easily get if you're good at googling / the internets)

Most will pay you with Amazon Gift Certificates or coupons/points in the area you're polling on. Some will pay you up to $5 a pop for a survey though, and mail you the check!

I was just wondering who else does this. Not a whole lot do considering the benefits, due to the huge questionarres you gotta do to even get considered for the surveys, plus the spam (I just use another email and carefully filter just for the surveys)

I'm not going to post any links in the thread lest it be advertising or competition for me to be survey selected as you guys will have similar game interests, etc :P.

Just a reminder for members not to post any referral system links & such...

explain. i want free money!

certain sites/compainies pay you credit for doing surveys (usually) and this credit is redeemed for cash or other nice things.

surveys don't come too often AFAIK, so they dont make a source of income on their own, but you could make a little cash doing it.

its a big market research thing

I used to do one and got about $50 in a month, not too shabby for short, 10 min surveys about games and computers.

does it take long to find a good survey?

what's that?

"Click here for free ipod!" "click here to make 20 bucks"

and the link looks like this: www.site.com/r=100

so when someone clicks the link, user "100" gets a reward (usually getting them closer to their ipod or whatnot"

designed to generate traffic for the website, it encourages spamming forums.

Yes it does take a bit of searching to find one that gives you the cash or reward you want. Most reward you, but with credit for their own thing (For example, a Harras survey I just signed up for pays me in Harras points, rather than cash)

You search the ezines and other things and be dedicated you can find those quick ones and make a pretty penny though.

But the coupons aren't bad either if you're going to use them at the place, such as the places that give you amazon credit!

edit: also this isn't anything like the freeipods or referal systems, there aren't any referal links to give out, if you go someplace that has them you're probably signing up for the wrong thing.

I was in this survey thing for a game that I liked. You'd get points each time for completing a survey. Eventually with enough points you could get rewards, but there were loads of people doing it and I doubt they got anything near $50 a month.

I'd do that, but I'm wayyyy to sceptical about it all :(

Made my first $20.

That should give you a good estimate for time to money ratio.

Not bad at ALL for taking a 10 minute survey each morning about stuff that interests me (videogames, food products, electronics, etc)

Woa are you sure you can get $5 bucks a survey? I don't see how a company that gives away that much money to thousands of people regularly could still be in buisiness.

It depends on the survey, how urgent they need market info, how long it is (IE: a 5 minute one versus a 15 minute one)

One survey I took this morning paid $3.50

Another one I took the other day paid $9.50, that gave me a huge boost.

If you take the 20 I've earned by the time it's been since I started getting them regularly, it's about 2 bucks a day, not bad.

there are legitimate survey panels that pay cash...

*snip*

bant 'n bye
(I should use that name for a company where you can hire moderators! :O)

Where are you signed up?
I'm lucky if I get a survey a month.

GlobalTestMarket

Won't post URL because it'd be advertising but google it should be like number 1 or something.

I haven't taken one in about two weeks cause they take like 5 minutes and I am SO lazy that it's not even funny, but I still get 1 or 2 every day emailed to me to take.

Probably good for students and stuff but when your working and you can nock up like $30 an hour it dosn't seem worth the hassle.

Sometimes they're fun and you get to see new commercials, products, etc before they're announced. It's cool.

I got to see those silly Snapple commercials with the street interviews before they aired. I also got to see a lot about the game Gun before big info was released.

Just registered. Time to sit back, relax, and wait for the free money to come rolling in.

Ill make my money the old fashioned way..... down the street on the corner.

So saltyjim...your not that good with computers yet you can spam message boards and advertise?

Man this forum advertiser dudes are not really smart, they don't know how to "blend in".
