i hear its finaly out... what you lot think of it (ones that have got it) i loved the demo was really fun.

was wondering if there was any multiplayer? i really want to know if there is a coop mode just like serious sam because that was f000king amazing over LAN

There isn't. Only some mediocre multiplay from what I have seen.

PK has death match and thats it.

I'd only buy it for SP, there's nothing wrong with run'n'gun, if you play PK well, your probably useing the same amount of intelligence as in fuddy FC or even splinter cell.

people can fly mode is to PK as Instant gib is to UT. It's barely a different game mode.

honestly I cant play a game with not point except to exterminate monsters get the the door open portal and continue, serious sam actually had mild objectives and a really "flavorful" feel to it that made you want to play it again painkiller dosnt impress me other then the technology... its just so bland...dry and repetitive if I wanted a game of this source il just paly some serious sam/ ss2 I cant wait to see what the guys that make that game come up with next..... anyways yeh painkiller just dosnt appeal to me at all unless the multiplayer was really good or if some realllly good mods came out for it (cant see either one coming true) :| :bounce:

Oh, and according to IGN, the multiplayer also sucks because there's only a few maps and it's... shitty...

Painkiller's goal IS to be a run-n'-gun game. That was the whole point, to bring back the old days of Quake. But at least this storyline is better than Serious Sam's.

There's a story? Holy crap! From everything I've heard there's just a shitload of random fanboy enemies, unholy amounts of ammo and the occassional topless woman (reportedly your wife).

That said, I find myself coming back to the demo occassionally, as the random chaotic action is a great catharsis after whatever I did early that day. The gameplay is pretty boring, and the level design is insanely repetitive (besides being confusing when there's a single obscure enemy left in a level and you can't find him), but it's still gratifying to headstake a baddy or land a long-range rocket kill on a moving target.

It's more like industrial metral methinks ^__^. More along the line of Rammstein and Acumen Nation... but it still kicks ass, that's all I know .
