Painkiller on Steam!!!

This was a REALLY fun game. You know whats funny. I have Painkiller Black which includes the expansion. I NEVER PLAYED IT!!!

Going to soon tho.

I hope i can register this game on steam with my old CD key.

Dude, Painkiller rocks. It's got a good spread from stealth missions (where you creep around corners and take guys out one at a time) to carnage missions (where you mow down hordes of enemies Serious Sam style). It scales well, and the graphics are superb. LOTS of different enemies, the expansion pack even has different enemies. MUCH fun. Don't hesitate to look up 'how to' guides for defeating bosses. Some of the methods for killing them (much less surviving) aren't immediately obvious. Nice to hear that these titles are showing up on Steam.

Well you've got the Valve games and the Activision titles, so really, you're still getting alot of really good new games at the time they come out.

Also Dreamfall: TLJ which i'm probably gonna buy tomorrow.

You can HAVE my copy if you want. I had heard it was a good game, and EB Games had it for $10, so I bought it. What a WASTE of money. It is the WORST piece of crap game I have ever played. I felt sick knowing that I could have spent that $10 on a pack of smokes or McD's, or wiped my ass with it. All of those would have been better use for that money than buying that game.

It was good up until that first boss that raped me. I beat him eventually but damn took the fun out of the game right there.

It was soooo repetitive, and weapons were like "wtf is this crap even supposed to be?". Also, that's about all there is to the game. A horde of enemies come, you kill them the same way you killed the last lot, and walk to the next room. No puzzles, no "where do I go next?", nothing. The weapons are lame, and the only difference when killing things is how many shots it takes. All the enemies have pretty much the same crappy walking animation, and there is no real different ways to kill them.

The game plays like a crappy arcade game, and gets old in two minutes.

THAT'S what I don't like about it. Oh - and it caused me to waste $10 buying it.

Painkiller has some of the coolest and most fun weapons out there.

I mean they took the 2 best weapons in games and put them together...What more can you ask for.

Ah Painkiller...

I never did finish that game. Not out of boredom mind you, but there was a glitch in this one level where I kept crashing to the desktop and thus could never advance further. I kept trying to fix it, but having to sit through those painfully long load times (even from quicksaves) I gave up.

Nearly 3 years later and with some new hardware, this could be my excuse to try going through the game again. Hopefully it hasn't aged poorly...

Yep, that sums it up quite well. Except I didn't even find it interesting right from the start. I even played it to about the middle (it tells you how far you are in the game) to give it a chance, but I wasted my time. Should have played Frisbee with the disk instead.

I used the same weapon most of the time too. The others seemed pointless.
