not everyone in pakistan wears a vail .
its isnt a purely muslim country there are quite a few christians and other religions aswell. so please keep the generalisation out. you should relate to this just as you would relate to any other country loosing such an important form of comunication.

hehe..the big corporations must be pulling out their hair over this

Haha, my friends going to Pakistan tomorrow aswell.

That's bad news for the entire region.

edit: yep, just read even harder than just the affects of neighboring countries from their loss, the cable problems will also DIRECTLY affect them. This probably won't help India/Pakistan tensions any

What's the big deal? Can't they repair/replace the cable and get things back working again?

I know I am not helping anything but why did they have only one cable for the entire country? Is it because of money or something else? Honestly, if someone wanted to completely destroy Pakistan's internet all they have to do is cut one cable.

If they did it once, they could always lay another one down.
