Paranoia, a singleplayer modification for the original Half-Life, has just been released. Featuring a host of new weapons, models, graphics technology, sounds, and characters, chances are you don't want to miss out giving this a try if you are a patron of those rare creatures we know as singleplayer mods.[br]<div align="center">

Real nice work for a hl mod.

Good Luck!

Would this be worth rebuying HL for $10? I lost my old disk, but I was meaning to replay that game for some time. Heh, I think I just answered my own question.

But really, I would appreciate a confirmation that this mod works with the Steam version of HL.

any half life works lol. preferably the steam version though. that doesn't count hl:s btw.

Naturally, but I've seen some mods for HL declare themselves steam compatible and was wondering if that was a big difference.

I'm using it with the steam version, works fine.

however it crashes when i get to the elevator at the bottom of the bunker :/

it even has bump mapping! and this game reminds me of stalker :p

It's really nice to see people still using HL1 as a mod platform, it's still so damn flexible - and takes far less in terms of resources and development $$.

This one does work and it will most certainly be worth the $10 reinstall price. Not to mention this will probably be the last great mod for GoldSrc.

Looks good, i'll download it soon as I get in from Work.

lol, I was about to say "Looks like Stalker" but it seems im not the only one to think so, great to see people still pushing an older engine.

Finished it.
What can I say? its great. I can't pinpoint what it is, but it's pretty great.
there are a few minor gyps, such as 1-2 random crashes (throughout the roughly 3-5 hours I spent playing, this isn't really bad) and slightly crap AI at one or two points, but it makes up for it with some great graphics (imo, no one seems to agree- It practically looks like source!) and great moments ingame. I really like the way radio is done, too.
one thing that puzzled me is the ending.
why did it show that scientist woman dying? she was hardly evil and had no reason to be down there.. I suppose it's ironic though, if you read her fathers report.. (he was one of the people wired to the "heart" crying "mercy.." his report was next to him)

Got bored at the part with splinter cell assassins. Deleted.

Cool zombie models though. Some of them have HL2 textures and animations.

YOU SPOILER!

That's not been in any screenshots or any dev information so I'm pretty sure they're aiming to keep that a secret for you to find out in the game.

Nope. I've seen the concept art of the zombies. I think i even saw the model... but it could be that they recently deleted them to make them a suprise. ;)

The beginning part reminded me of some of the mods that were released after HL1 first came out. Very cool.

Sometimes the weapons seem innacurate, but it's a well made mod nonetheless. I hope it doesn't go to shit when zombies start getting introduced.

And it does look a little like Stalker in non-dynamic lighting mode anyway.

The mod felt alot of Heart Of Evil. I thought this mod was pretty good, too short though. I liked HoE better though.

Really?

i thought it was a cool mod, I wasn't phased too much playing this after other professionally made retail games, its lengthy, has good music and pacing.

Not sure why those last lot of commandos have small heads though. It did crash a few times for me, but its good overall and worth checking out.

So...where does this get installed?

Hi! I've d/l'ed this mod 3 times. I've got the original game and I also put it in Steam. I've downloaded this to Sierra Half Life and to Steam Apps/Half Life/etc.
No dice and no play. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
