If it has moved till tomorrow (AGAIN) i'm getting very fustrated and its getting to the point were its an insult to be played like this, one of my pet hates is giving people false hope and valve have done this twice to everyone. If it is still due for today then fair enough but if not ......

You should KNOW that Valve aren't good with releasedates...

eheh "sorry but the patch has been stolen. it comes out 11\2005"

its not coming out today since the third bug that affects only nvidia cards probably is the reason for the delay.

do you really believe this? that the nvidia cards are the reason for the delay? i believe that garret (thief..) come into the valve studios and has stolen the patch after a "pickpocket" to gabe newell

I can't understand why Valve doesn't respond to things like this officially on their website. They scatter comments on other sites.
My god, they have really bad PR. It doesn't surprise me it's being delayed again and again.

Who's writing this patch anyway? George Bastard Broussard? :sniper:

I think it's time they fired the monkey for being a lazy B*****d!

Come on Valve, enough's enough! Where's the patch!?

Can't believe the way this has been handled, even Vivendi have got their bloody heads in the sand over it....

I think the HL2 patch will be delayed a bit longer simply because valve cannot get their copy of HL2 to run without crashing and therefore cannot test the patch............:)

We're working on it. The stuttering is actually three different bugs. Two of them are fixed and should (hopefully) be out tomorrow. Still working on the third one which only happens on NVidia cards/drivers

Bit worring for nvidia owners, the following makes up for it ...just

There is a fix for the D3D texture manager sending textures down to the driver in the middle of the level. We now draw zero-area triangles with each texture on level load to force them down to the driver at that point. There's another fix that changes how we take screenshots for save game thumbnails that fixes the hitching after an autosave. The third fix that I'm still working on is to keep the NVidia texture management from blowing up. This causes extremely bad framerates from texture thrashing, and is also the cause of crashing on some machines.

I don't have an nvidia card. Can't the patch be released for the rest of the world, and then another patch for nvidia owners? I picked an ATI card and now I have to wait for a patch because the game does not work for people that bought an nvidia card. :>(
