My pc has been giving me lots of problems. Below are the stuff that happens

1) Random shut downs - just switches off by itself

2) Stalling - everything just freezes, cursor doesn work.

3) Slow downs - when i have only itunes and internet on, its just so slow.

4) Internet Connection drops - i lose connection every now and then.

5) Doing word document - sometimes it crashes for now reason.

6) Video card doesn like the tightenness of the vga to dvi converter. so i left it lose so that it gives it signal

7) Speed is 1.3 ghz, not 2.167 ghz. i mentioned this b4. and yes i changed the fsb mulitipler and it still stays the same....

i have used Ad Aware, CCleaner, Norton Anti Virus, and Zone Alarm. i still got many registry errors i cant fix without a legit program. i have reformatted my pc several times this year and the same problems happen. i really hate emachines alot. What the f*** is wrong? should i get a new mobo and cpu?

i assume your tlaking about the 2nd system in your pc specs? im not surprised its slow. that computer is extremely outdated.

If you've done all the testing you know how to do but it's still screwing up then take it in (under warranty or not).
Don't recall if you did this before but grab CPU-Z and post a screenshot of the CPU tab and Memory tab. Post em.
Where did you buy the CPU or PC?

Im talking about the first pc spec, its an emachines like i mentioned. i got this from Best Buy 2 years ago. i dun think it is under warranty....

I can't see that image. lol
Way too small and grainy. :p

see my edit post. sorry, im kinda fed up right now....

Do you think there is a jumper on the board (a plastic piece with metal contacts to short 2 pins) that would control the FSB setting? I'm not really sure why it would freeze except if it was just being slow. There is only so much that can be done over the net or phone.

i did change the plastic thingie on the pins and it still wouldn change the fsb. this happened after i installed a new video card and psu. i tried using the old one, but its still the same speed as b4.

Was it set wrong before? What setting was it at? Did you put it back or leave it after you changed it?

i changed it and put it back again. still the same.... very wierd. i cant really do much on my bios.

Is there a reset for the bios (jumper)? Maybe take out the circle battery for awhile and let it reset the bios to default values.

i did that too, it resetted other stuff except the fsb....i switched the pin next to it, and held it for several secs then i put it back to its original position....still no change.

You could go to PC Pitstop and run a full test there to see if you can clear up some of the problems you are experiencing.

my computer has 134 registry errors according to PC pit stop. Registry cleaner say i got 193 errors. how do i fix the registry without paying?

Have you made sure that your motherboard supports the cpu core? My brother's pc had a presscott cpu (Intel) in a mainboard that didn't support it. It would run but on lower speeds and they couldn't be changed.

dude, i said i got this pc from best buy.... i didn change the mobo or the cpu.... and im talking about my AMD pc, not my intel....
