I haven't read everything yet but I thought people would be interested in what some games got (especially empire as I believe this is the first review released)

Notable reviews:
Empire Total War 94%
Saint's Row 2 87%
Burnout Paradise 85%
Fear 2 Project Origin 78%
Crayon Physics Deluxe 78%

Did PC Gamer US review Empire? Or maybe that was just a preview thing.. I'll dig up the issue later.

FEAR 2 got what it deserved.

The moment I get a job, I am buying Empire. Pretty hyped.

They gave Saints Row 2 on the PC 87%? What a joke, even worse optimized thsn GTA4, with shitty car controls and graphics which pale compared to the 360, then they have the cheek to rate F.E.A.R. 2 lower. I stopped taking notice of their review scores a long time ago, round about the time they gave Star Wars Force Commander a 90+ score.

Just pre-ordered Empire and got Rome: Total War gold for free off steam! :D

And shit, I was looking foward to FEAR 2. Somehow I always knew it wouldn't live up the first's standard.

I've heard R:TW Steam has issues with mods sadly.

PC Gamer gives some questionable review scores at the best of times thats all im saying on the matter.

Well, I guess I'll go ahead and pre-order Empire: TW then. Its not really a huge blockbuster game, so I can trust most reviews wont rate it based on hype.

Well considering right now it's the middle of the night here I'll type some stuff up tomorrow k?

<3 you

I would very much appreciate some tidbits how the big changes from the former games work out. F.e. does the review say anything about creating the armies from generals? Supposedly that's the norm now. You recruit whole armies that way, in stead of renting auxiliaries through your mercenary window like in MTW or RTW.

I hope that the TW guys make a new Sparta game on the 360 and PS3, that'd be hawt.

Anyone got scans?

EDIT:

From Wikipedia:
PC Gamer magazine awarded the game 94% in their review.[29] They praised the tech tree system and its feedback to the player, as well as a more sophisticated AI - "a bastard" to play against. One significant criticism was made against the naval combat system. Although "spectacular", naval battles frequently become "chaotic" and it is difficult to accurately control multiple ships. The review summarised the game as a "strategy masterwork."

Very disappointed to hear that the naval battles aren't that great, I was looking forward to that aspect the most. :(
