its amazeing, simply amazeing, powerfull editing tools, one of the most dynamic scaleable engines ive seen in fps's today and shockingly enough its right around the corner! next month! a dx9 shooter with advanced physics, dx9 features, GINORMOUS enviorments and a soon to be stable netcode (given the dedicated teams beta releases) I could rant forever but im thinking FARCRY will be up there with HL2 and the new QUAKE technology and thy cycle has started over with new contenders stepping up the plate like STALKER MOH: PA (new tech.) the BATTLEFIELD people (I know im forgetting many next gen titles as well sorry but BFV/FARCRY/UT2K4 seen closest arivals)...im just overwhelmed

if you ask me, the pc industry is being revitalized, just like the oldays new entire engines are being made and modders will go NUTS as hardware grows and pc's go more mainstream were looking at a galaxy of nerds in HEAVEN

discuss (:

im not quite sure what will happen, it seems theres to many revolutionary things happeneing at once by the end of summer 04' we may be dealing with entirely new hardware/communities/and obviously home pc technology in general

discuss (: :rolling:

All I can say is, they better finish optimizing FC :)

of course they are, do you have beta2 its already been fixed a tad and its being worked on day in and day out according to press releases. The crytek guys are hard workers (netcode will be fine after release or a few weeks/months after) and they supporting modding and such so I wouldent worry so much

(remember bf1942 after release jesus, what a mess) now look thanks to support

yep, I'm in the beta. We oughtta play sometime :)
Anyway, it runs alright (just above 30FPS at all times) for me.. but, my system is mid-range for gaming, I'm hoping it'll run better than this at release..

but yeah, FC is on my must buy list.. the game is alot of fun :)

my dell has so-so specs 512rdram 2.4 ghz processor radeon 9700pro
bleh I dont perform to hot but at least I get ok fps most of the time :bounce: settings are medium geez these next gen games require alot of power |: its insane

give me an I/M one of these days on steam or AIM
aim: prnchckn967
steam: alb1221

wel play some FC hopefully they will release a new beta before the games launch and fix up a few bugs so we can have some fun bug free dm even if our systems cant support the ownage gfx without running at 20 fps (hehe)

btw plz dont turn this into a hardware thread guys, its just a discussion about next gen gameing titles
