pc problem

when i turn on my pc it goes to a black screen and says ntdlr missing
then it says to restart my computer
does anyone know what ntdlr is
help

Sounds like maybe you need to reformat

your bootsector is ****ed
happens if u mess about with your partitions.

or you are booting from the wrong hard disk

if im not mistaked, ntldr is the windows bootloader? or something to do with it

I had an unmountable volume recently. Put a real copy of xp in, boot from the cd, run chkdsk. That sorted me out. No data loss.
