I have a couple of small questions that i was wondering about. First, does anyone know of around when the 6600gt's will be released on agp? I can barely even find any places that sell the PCI-E versions, and I heard that the agp's would come out around a month after the PCI-E versions.

Also, are there any AMD motherboards that support PCI-E yet? Where can I find them if there are any, but if there arent, does anyone know when I can expect to see them start popping up?

Thanks in advance

no there arent any amd mobos that have it yet i think, but im guessing maybe q1 2005

No AMD motherboards. Apparently they are supposed to becoming out by the end of this year.

How about the 6600gt agp release date? I'd like to upgrade before half life 2 comes out, but I dont have enough money for a 6800gt, and I want something more powerful than the 9800 pro to last me a while. Nvidia lists one site that sells 6600's but Ive never heard of them, and its in PCI-E :(

yeah i would definitely be interested in a 6600gt agp card. my 9600pro is kinda lacking.

What kind of percentage improvements is pci-express going to bring?

nothing at the moment. It only takes away the bandwidth restrictions of AGP, which we are far from fully utilising.

It gives more electricity i think, plus it allows two cards to be joined and take on one half of the screen each

I dont really care that much about the PCI E at the moment, I just want to get my hands on a 6600gt.
