I know that I am going to upgrade to an amd 3500+ 939... but I can't see to find any place to buy socket 939 mobos with pci express out there. Anyone know which mobo is the best out there if there is any yet? If there is where can I buy one?

LucidX said:How long will a be waiting for just the 939s? Would it be worth it getting a PCI-X? I'm just building a system completly for hl so it will probably have a x800 in which case i won't need PCI-X? Is it worth the wait? Would I be better of not even getting the 939 model and going for that normal 734 socket? Thanks for you replies!
amneziac85 said:It kind of reminds me of the 9800XTs'. To me it made no sense why someone would go out and buy a XT for $500 when you coulda got a 9800 Pro for half that price and very little speed difference. IMO it was kind of deserving, because most of the people I know who bought the XT were people jumping on the ATI bandwagon to late and ended up getting exploited. Banwagoning suckers.

LucidX said:Well if you wanted the highest performance couldn't you oc a XT beyond anything that is out right now?

If i were to get a 756 socket now and regular agp, i would be at a dead stop for upgrading later.
