Okay okay, there's a penguin model in Half-Life: Opposing Force, it's really neat, oh it's an easter egg thing, so it's got a hand grenade strapped to it's back, but that shouldn't be hard to remove, just find a TTLGer that's got HL: OpFor and ask him for the penguin models, (they should be in Half-Life\OpFor\Models) the .mdl format can be converted to 3DS and you know what to do from there

I need some Penguins... Can anyone send me the files?

another typical person why knows no one in the community, ucome and ask us for things and **** off. Well tbh, no. They really need to inforce the rule of having over 15 posts before you can start threads.

soz m8 I lost my opforce disk, never knew there was a penguin in it tho.

You can get OpForce thru steam, can u extract stuff from steam cache files, or use some other methods to find it in there possibly?

Unfortunately, I because size of some of my areas, I had to increase the size of the textures, so a pattern wouldn't be revealed if the player looks at it at a distance.

BTW: The penguin model has been mapped to the Apparition motion index.

According to a friend of mine:
"I played around a little with the penguin. Piece of cake! They built the model so the grenade wasn’t actually integrated in to the mesh, so I just had to delete the polygons which made it. I also detached the wings, put it into standard Thief pose, and got it to animate.

You want to make it Creature -> Creature Type : Apparition. That way it holds its arms out like a penguin, and doesn’t bend them much. If you give them some kind of Ranged attack, they look so cute waving their little wings around. Anyway, they sort of waddle around without moving their legs.

You may have to give them a little AI Core -> Movement -> Z offset to keep them from sinking into the ground. (Try 2 feet). And you might have to set their AI Core -> Movement -> Max Speed to keep them moving slowly. Play with it and see what you think."

I can't wait until I tweek it into Opus, the talking penguin...
