People Are Actually Filing Complaints!!!

If I paid for a piece of software and couldn't get it (ie Steam authentication problems via college campuses) I would be contacting the FTC as well.

However, you shouldn't complain if you didn't like the game or are experiencing technical problems with the game.

I can imagine being upset if the game doesnt work,..
but if it were me, I wouldnt be trying to get a refund, I'd be trying to figure out wtf was wrong with my OS/drivers/hardware.

Theres always someone who cant play, and you know its because of their system, not VALVe. But these guys are going off as if VALVe is a scam artist. Ah well.

Why is this sort of behaviour only found in the Valve/HL community?

That's just not true. I played the game the first day it came out, after I registered my CD key and waited through a half hour down load. Now it won't play anymore, giving me the GAME NOT READY FOR OFF LINE PLAY message.

It works fine on my system. Except I can't play it now.

Mommy... mommy! My HL2 doesn't work! Beeeeehhhhhhhh!!!

I can understand you're pissed off, but this stuff leads nowhere and solves nothing and generally looks stupid.

Actually, Valve delivered on their promise, if any action needs to be taken, it would be against whoever blocked the port, IE the University that blocked the port... Valve made it available, the Colleges revoked it..
