Hi I was just wondering what is the best way to go about modelling shoulders for a standard human figure.

Most answers I get for modelling 'Perfect Shoudlers" is to that you put shoulder pads on your character!

When I do my shoulders my way they're fine when you animate them when his walking etc... but when you animate him doing something else like dying the mesh gets distorted and it looks shocking.

Do you get what I'm asking?

TIA

yes, i understand, but im not sure. i dont have much experience with modelling characters, in fact, im in kind of the same situation as you are :)

i reckon, depending on your polycount, if you had 4 points for deformation, connecting to make 2 points underneath the arm. check the picture i drew, cause that doesnt make sense at all :p

Yeah that makes sense, maybe there isn't really a perfect way and for every character you do you just have to make do... I'll try out your suggestion first though. Thanks.

ok, but continue at you own peril :p, thats just what first came to mind. if possible, Fenric and maybe Ichi, it would be nice of you to join the discussion.
