I just took the performance test and got an overall of 217. I was just wondering how good this actually is.

BTW, I was able to use complex graphics at 60 FPS with my [undecided] graphics card.

Anyway, could anyone answer my question?
Any and all help appreciated.

I took the WHOLE test. And my card is quite capable of running DOOM 3, at about 20-25 frames a second.

What graphics card do u have and what test did you take?

As I said, the WHOLE test. Everything. Nothing was left out.
If you're asking what BRAND of test, it was just the one called performance test.
And my card is an Intel(R).

What's 'the whole' test? - you haven't even mentioned what game you're testing :)

(i'm assuming, possibly wrongly, that you're talking about the cs:s stress test?)

What res and settings did you run this (unknown) test? did you use AA/AF?

Nobody could possibly have a clue what you're saying with the info you've given us i'm afraid.

Dammit, I just took the general PC test that gave me a score of 217. Out of 300.
It showed me three types of moving graphics at low, medium, and complex settings. It didn't test any game in particular, it just tested my PC's capablities.

IF this isn't an appropriate test, could you tell me where to find the stress test?

Try 3dmark 2003 (it's the most widely used benchmark for gaming at the moment) http://www.futuremark.com/ (2001 and 2005 are also worth a check)

Aquamark is another pretty neat one - http://www.aquamark3.com/

If you have HL2 and cs:s then try the stress test that comes with cs:s.

I haven't a clue what the tests you've taken are.

Just so you know, not trying to be mean or anything, but there is rarely a "generic anything" when it comes to computing. If you don't know what some program is actually called you can always tell us where you got it (like a link to the website).

Could he be using Performance Test?

On PT I got 137.4 using

512 ram
AMD Duron 1.3 GHz
Radeon 9600
Windows 98

Sorry if I offended you. I've just never heard of a program called "Performance Test". If there is then my bad. The way he said "the performance test", instead of "Performance Test", did not make it seem like the specific name, cause a lot of programs can be considered 'the performance test' (I tried 2 different ones just last week).
