u guys are probably sick of answering performance questions :hmph: but how many fps would i get with a P4 2.8ghz processor,1gb of dual channel memory,and a 9800 pro?

HL2 is really hard to say since it ain't out yet. I'm having problem deciding on a graphics card upgrade as well becuz of this.

all i can say is... without estimates on fps, it'll definitely be playable and enjoyable with all effects on and above average quality and resolution.

That system would struggle slightly with Far Cry at 1280*1024 with all the bells and whistles, but would still be playable. I presume HL2 will be similar, maybe a little less taxing on your PC, just judging by recent screenshots.
