This MOD is a 4-part MOD, which I'm doing as a 1-man effort.

Racing - "Gryphon Racing"
Super Racing - "Gryphon Force"
FPS - "Phantom-Ops"
Super FPS "Phantom-Force"

All of these MODs will be miltiplayer. The racing one will be done first, and the FPS will be the primary one.

Basics...

Racing: Multiplayer Online Racing (with some fun with the physics)
Super Racing: Racing, except you have weapons now.
FPS: A versatile FPS with vehicles included. Hi-Tech weapons can be turned on or off.
Super FPS: Like the FPS, but crazier. All sorts of extra options, vehicles, and upgrade options.

I've created 1 weapon so far. More will come later.

And if you're interested in the cars that will be in the game...

Anyways, I want this to be the absolute best, so if something is crap, tell me.

Looks good  might be a bit tough to pull off by yourself, but it's possible. Sounds like a fun mod ;)

Hmmmm, the 'super' varients seem a little pointless... and the mod ideas seem very samey... what is the 'X' factor?

Yeah...this will take a lot of work, but I'm not one to shy away from large goals. Those cars on my site (www.GryphonAuto.com) were NOT small projects. Realistically it'll be tons easier for me to create every single weapon model (around 30-40) and texture them than it is for me to make one of those designs on my site.

What really gets me motivated on projects like these is when other people “get in to” the project start to have good ideas to improve the project, rather than just criticism about negative points. I’m sure that will happen once I finalize the “BASIS” of each MOD.

The racing MODS I’m making on my own, and don’t really need much input at all, but the one I’m focusing on perfecting for the fans is “Phantom-Ops,” the FPS without the crazy vehicles.

For those too lazy to look at the text file, Phantom-Ops is team-based multiplayer FPS. Game play on the superficial level is pretty simple. You have 2 bases, and each team tries to destroy the other team. I don’t think I’ll have any goals like “destroy the other base,” “blow up this target,” “capture these control points,” or anything like that. Vehicles are involved, but they behave realistically and are not dominant.

What I really need at the moment from you:
What do you hate when you are online playing XXXXX team-multiplayer FPS games? Pick any game you play consistently, and voice your dislikes (or what you REALLY like if you really want to). I’d like to get a step ahead, and this is a good place to start.

The words 'team-based multiplayer FPS' :P

Thats what I dislike... sorry matey, but this is being done so many times, by so many people....

X-factor? Basically the REAL MOD(Phantom-Ops), except with all sorts of crazy weapons and vehicles & upgrade options. Sometimes it's fun to be able to switch over to a crazy variation of your favorite game just to blow off steam and have fun. The X-factor is only a secondary goal.

Additional Info: The maps will be significantly sized.

The only other option is to create a completely non-related game (like the racing one) or make it anarchy. If I actually successfully come up with a better idea, I'll probably disappear for a few months until it is complete, then work on perfecting the idea.

When I say 'X' factor... I mean the thing thats gonna make people want to play your mod, and keep playing it.

The X-Factor?

The X-Factor is primarily going to be the feel of the game. There’s a few other tricks I have up my sleeve, but it’s the feel that should grab you. You’ll see weapons, vehicles, maps, textures, but the X-Factor is something you have to play to understand. I’m sorry, but I’m going to have to leave it at that.

I still need people to tell me what they don’t like about their favorite team-based FPS.
