Photocopying

Ok HL2DOTNET, this is pissing me off.

I am absolutely CONVINCED that you can only photocopy documents/drawings/letters in black and white. If you want to duplicate something you have thats in colour, you scan it and re-print it.

Yet, pretty much every new-start at my company over the years has chimed in with "where can I do coloured photocopies, Cormeh?". Answered by a blank expression and "you can't.".

Today I've had enough, I need to know, can you photocopy in colour? I could just search google, yes. But you people are the only people I know that deal with such SERIOUS BUSINESS. :frown:

Sex jelly or coloured photocopying? See, when I personally have to deal with coloured copying I send it to a printers. It never costs that much so I assume they scan and re-print.

Never done a coloured copy myself, but had no need to tbh.

Colored toner became available in the 1950s, although full-color copiers were not commercially available until 3M released the Color-in-Color copier in 1968, which used a dye sublimation process rather than the normal electrostatic technology. The first electrostatic color copier was released by Canon in 1973.

I work at staples and we have 3 color photocopy machines. Work just like a black and white machine but in color.

I have a fax/copier/scanner/printer at home (some HP all-in-one dealy) and I'm quite sure it has a "copy" option that would most likely allow a color copy.

Yeah, an inkjet all in one machine runs around $100-500...a color laser runs around $4-1000 dollars, unless it's a heavy duty machine...those usually start around $5000.

An amazing one, like a high-end Xerox, would probably be about 20 grand or so. But obviously you can get cheaper ones!

You can get a cheap inkjet (like I said above) for under $100. A cheap laser costs around $4-500.

um... i have an HP Photosmart All-In-One that prints, copies, and scans in color. My girlfriend got it for me for a birthday present... for like $100. Great quality.
