pickup items?

Are you supose to be able to pick up anything? I just starting playing cs:source yesterday. While playing I tried to pick up some things and couldnt pick up any of them. Just wanted to make sure Im not doing anything wrong, and you just cant pick anything up.

Also it seems to be all cs:s is is just cs updated with nicer graphics. Which is fine, but I dont know its suppose to be the multiplayer that comes with hl2. You think they would add something. No vehicles not really any usable physics, what really makes cs any diffrent from any other fps multiplayer. Maybe funny ragdoll effects .

Not bashing it I was a long time palyer up until cs 1.6 but got tired of the same scene. now coming back to cs:s seems like the same tired scene with eye candy.

Why would you need to pick anything up ? you wanna throw bannanas at someone whos shooting with AK 47 at you?
And no you cant pick up anything.

cs:s is supposed to be cs with nicer graphics...it is not cs2

well you can pick stuff up

push g to throw your gun then just run over the one you want
