Post pictures of the instruments you own.

NOT ONES YOU WANT, BUT THAT YOU PHYSICALLY OWN.

First - Looks kinda whack, but it's actually my better guitar, plays very well.

Second - Looks bad-ass, and there's nothing wrong with it, but it's low-end.

For some reason they look fatter then they are..

I coughed up my raisin bran when I saw that... thing.

I have this.

I would like to get a drum set, preferably an electric one; but I don't know if that's going to be happening any time soon.

1998 Fender Dobule Fat Strat Hardtail.

I've never had any desire to play or buy anything else. Doesn't have a whammy bar as it's a hardtail (strings go straight through the wooden body, no hollow box), but I rarely use one anyways. The Seymour Duncan humbuckers are original, with a Pearly Gates in the bridge position, and '59 in the neck.

Egnater TOL100 2x12 Combo

Designed by Bruce Egnater and built by Rocktron's manufacturing facility. It's a tube amp, and I use Electro-Harmonix 12ax7's in every slot (see below). It's reverb is also tube driven, but still has it's original stock tube.

The 12ax7s..

I should have fired it up and let them glow. :)

Genz Benz G-Flex 2x12" Speaker Cabinet

This usually sits below the TOL100 and I rig them into the speaker out. It produces an interesting sound, as the Egnater is open-back (slightly looser feel), and the G-Flex is closed back (sounds very "tight" and responsive). Best of both worlds I suppose. This 2x12 is ridiculously loud for it's size, producing volumes comparable to most 4x12 cabs I've heard.

Lastly,

Electro-Harmonix 16 Second Delay

I use this for looping, echos, delays, chorus, flanges, etc.. It's a versatile box, but quite pricey. Don't have an image of mine offhand.

Ohh, nice setup you got there Fiznut.

Thanks :)

Definitely my dream setup, and I play just about anything with it. Comes at a price though, had I not got a good deal on them through my old guitar teacher's shop.

I changed my guitar strings today for the first time in a year or so... they sound and play loads better, if it wasn't for the E and A strings buzzing. Gah!

Ouch! Should try and replace them more often, as they really don't last all that long, with the exception being the Elixir line of strings. Their "polyweb" strings have lasted me a lot loner than any other brand.

Also, sounds like your guitar needs a truss rod adjustment and/or bridge adjustment.

All are mine except for the Gibson Les Paul Studio and the Epiphone:

Ibanez (model unknown, red body)- my first guitar that I started working hard on. I rarely play this one any more.

Ibanez NDM1- my second guitar, used for clean in standard tuning.

Schecter Synyster Gates Custom- by far the nicest and best guitar I own. Floyd Rose bridge for dive bombs, Seymour Duncan Custom Invaders, ebony fretboard, and a very cool look. The guitar I play most often, it's permanently kept in drop D tuning. The thing was built for shredding and nothing else. (By the way, the finish isn't messed up, it's just the way the flash made it look).

Schecter C1 Blackjack- my other favorite, great guitar for the price (got it for around $300). Good Seymour Duncan JB/59 pickups that are great for clean or distortion. Keep it usually in drop C# tuning, but I use this guitar to experiment with other tunings.

For other gear, I use a Crate ProAudio PA-4 and DigiTech MetalMaster distortion pedal. All guitars have Ernie Ball "Skinny Top/Heavy Bottom" strings, and (oddly enough) I use Herco Flatpicks (thumbpicks).

I hate it when I have to change the action after getting new strings.

The worst is when you change strings and they feel more stiff.. For me anyways..

And does anyone else hate the G string? It never stays in tune on any guitar for me...

I had some polyweb strings on 2 different guitars and they both broke at about a 3 month period.(String broke on one guitar, so I play the other and on the next day string breaks on there.) I've had strings that have lasted me long (I am getting even more aggressive on my strings too.). They sure are mighty comfortable though. I think I might try some 10 gauge Ernie Ball strings, I might try some handwound strings sometime this year too.

EDIT: Leib10: Your unknown Ibanez guitar looks like a GAX (Probably an older model not on there with a quilted top?)

Dude, you need some more bass and toms, then get some electronic symbols, and an electronic xylophone, and you'd have Neil Peart's drum set. (which is a goddamn bad-ass drum set)

That is a lot though... So not really "just" is it? :p

Mine is set up quite a bit different though, notice the china that's clamped on the rear left.

Wow, you must pick ridiculously hard. :O
I've only had one string break on me in the entire 9 something years I've played. Only polyweb or nanowebs I would consider keeping on for more than a month, especially if playing often. I used to change my strings weekly when I used ernie ball strings.

Once strings lose their brightness and get grimed up, it drives me nuts to keep them on.

I like to strum when I pick, the sound of the pick scratching on unfretted strings is too good to pass up. The guitars did go through a few hours of being in a really rough cold and my room changes temperature dramatically a lot (My drums always untune themselves in a few days. The hardware on them is fairly decent too).

My Fender Strat: 2000 Jimmie Vaughan signature w/Tex-Mex single coil pickups and my beloved V-neck. For the most part I use Fender 250 regular strings, but I like to try different sounds. Also bear in mind that I got this guitar when I was about 13-14 so in retrospect I would have probably picked a different color.
My whole guitar setup, nothing special just enough to mess around with.

My life.

I wish. :( It's actually my friend's set... needless to say I chill at his place a lot and he jams on his fender.

He's going to sell me the set for about 4 grand.

My new Gretsch (amazing)
