According to the Official Nintendo Magazine's UK branch, Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed Pikmin 3 is still coming, and added that development was "well under way." Miyamoto was in attendance for tonight's British Academy of Film and Television Arts show, and was the recipient of the Fellowship Award.

We first got word of a new Pikmin title back at E3 2008 when Miyamoto casually mentioned a new game in the series was in development, but we haven't heard much since then. In a recent interview with IGN, however, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime recently hinted at the game's appearance at this year's E3 show in Los Angeles this June.

Oh man, I'm getting excited. Now all they need is to announce Star Fox on the Wii and I'll jizz in my pants.

All I need is a new Star Fox, Pikmin, and Legend of Zelda and I can huddle next to my Wii until the next generation of consoles.

Star Fox hasn't been good since N64. Make it like that please.

There was a new zelda released on DS, btw.

Getting a new DS for that and Pokeman.

Whats pikmin? Is it one of those weaboo games from japan?

Dude :/

It's an charming rts/adventure-em-up, and one that should be very well suited to wiimote control.

How about Star Fox Command DS, that is very close to what a Wii game of Starfox would play like

Pikmin 2 was one of the greatest games of the last generation.

I implore you people that this is not merely my opinion, but an actual fact.

A large reason of why I bought the Wii was the rumour of Pikmin 3. Once this is released my purchase will finally be 100% justified.

Yeah, once they did away with the time limit, it was much more enjoyable. Looking back at the first game, I don't even know how I managed to beat it.

Actually, I don't think I beat Pikmin 2. I had all of the treasures except the 1000-pound weight and the purple flowers wouldn't respond so I couldn't make any more purple pikmin.
