Ping problems.

Right now I'm pinging about 400 to G-Dub's server. Yesterday I had a similar problem, but at about 11am my time (an hour before the hl2.net event) the ping went down to about 80 (normal, that is). I noticed that I've got a high ping to some other servers in my history list, on which I had proper pings before.

Still, I can find many servers with a proper ping (not talking about local, but UK for example). I've got normal latency to the servers I play on in CS:S. It's as if it occured only in TF2.

Anyone else has this?

I've had this problem to. A server located 200 miles from me had 180 ping, while the UK server 6 hours away was 140 ping.... \= And it wasn't just that one server, I did an all server search, and on top the lists were a bunch of UK servers, and at the bottom were US.

I've been having some weird ping issues too, a couple of servers on my favorites will jump suddenly to around 800....when the others are at 20-30 (they are all in nor cal).

And recently some people on the east coast have been getting 40ish pings to servers near me, and I'm getting around 100....

Used to consistently get 20-30's to these.

It's not my network side, cause this happens even when I'm the only computer running, and it's not peak time, and it only happens for about an hour at night, and only with a few servers. Not enough to be a client side problem, but enough to show that it's not a single server or server farm's problem....

Possible backbone problem with the net right now?

I wonder if it's the way TF2 works the shit, or if it's some other underlying issues with some ISP
