Planet Half life dead?

I have a question, is Planet Half Life dead? I mean in 2 weeks no new threads, not even replys, before you would see at least 60 replys for a thread now, nothing, dead, even the news are old.

I guess this is what happens when you have wrong moderators, here we have
Freedom of speach!!!

Any way, is the site still runing?
 
What are you talking about? the last post in every one of their boards was done today.
 
I think there's a lot of people, myself included, that are banned from PHL... you have to sort the forum by date posted... just click the "Last Post" link at the top in the black.
 
They are in a down period while they hire more newsposters and staff. I think frag leaving hit them pretty hard in terms of the amount of work he used to do for the site.
 
I need a new hl exclusive news source actually... they are too slow :eek:
 
PHL isn't dead from what I can see.

The frontpage was updated yesterday (and it's about Midnight Gamespy time anyway) and the forums were posted in a few moments ago.

As for the moderators, PHL has grown up, and has had a long history of no idiot behaviour tolerance.

Not true. You can act like an idiot as long as you're buddy buddy with the mods. Otherwise, it's an unwarned, instant permaban.
 
They've "permabanned" me about... 4 times now? :bonce: :bonce: :bonce:

Not at all.

Praxius was once a buddy of the mods, then he started acting like a complete idiot, so he was warned, and warned, and then they banned him. Simple as that.

As for the permaban thing, the Forumplanet code is shite. But to be honest, you should get the picture and go away.

i might join and try and get banned.. .without resorting to nast behaviour. i mean like be a complete asshole, but a law abiding asshole and see what happens.

you understand that this would be an experiment though, noit a piss around. i would gather the results and place them in a graph, then write an evaluation and hand it in with my science coursework. :)

but seriously, are their mods unfair or just strict? because everyone from this forum just says "oh theyre assholes", but then again we would say that wouldnt we... being a rival website and all :|
 
They seemed a little unfair for the few times I took a look at their forums, but not like complete ass holes.
 
They're just strict, and they need to be, to stop the damned tide of the rest of Forumplanet. People who are assholes, but law abiding assholes tend to stick around, though, and I can show you a few examples.
 
The thing is the mods here are strict.... but not soo harsh in my opinion. Our mods are more fair from what I have seen....

meh, Cant get any worse than HL2source or radio or whatever. :cheers:

sigh... im sure i will be missed. those are the reasons why i dont like planethalife, in that quote....

im sure my thread wil be deleted with love :)
 
lol, thats utterly appauling. custom smileys just encorages spam...

and wow, my thread was closed with love. HL2.net moderators wouldnt even think of deleting a thread like that...

but i could still become a respected member on planethalflife yet. all i need is a rainy day... damn its summer. oh well...

There are no custom smilies, but the custom avatars require 200 posts. Anyone proven to be spamming for the 200 goal is warned, then banned. And SL meant "Closed with love" as in "I don't hate you, so I'll close this thread happily, without fuss."
 
There moderatoras are dick****, they have something against new comers, banning people, by the way they never give you a warning, and it's not because you are an ass that they bann you, they just do it because they don't like you.

lol its no big deal, i wasnt implyiying he was a bad mod or anything i was just saying that no-one would close a thread here anyway... and 200 posts would provoke spam, wouldnt it? i dont care how they deal with it...

anyway, i was only joking.. why are you being so protective of the site all of a sudden? im with you after all, saying theyre not a bad site...

They were nice to me during my oh-so-brief period there to protect Halflife2.net while it was down :)
 
Sorry, I was assuming you were implying that SL was getting some sort of pleasure from locking the topic.

And they banned you because they don't like you, because you were probably being an ass.
