So finally with removing lot of obstacles I’m ready t o purchase a new gaming computer which can help me in gaming as well as in my commercial work, but for that literally I don’t have enough knowledge to purchase a new gaming rig. So guys can you please help me or advice in this sector. My budget is about 32000 Rupees i.e. 700$ and it’s more than enough in my country India. I’m thinking of AMD athlon processor on which I can easily play games and latest graphic card or so much suitable that I can easily play games like Doom 3, Painkiller, Half Life 2, Oblivion, Age of Empires 3 etc., and one thing more which is irritating me is Motherboard and I have very serious confusion in Motherboard that which will be highly support to processor and graphic card? As I have already planned for 512 Ram, 17 inch CRT Monitor (Viewsonic), 80 GB Hard Disk (ID).

Goddamn, I had typed a long post but stupid Firefox 2 didn't open a new tab when I entered an address in the tool bar.

Long post short:
Get atleast 1gb; 2gb if you plan to use windows Vista.
Get a dual core cpu (Intel core 2 duo E6300) and a cheap motherboard (Asrock 775dual-VSTA). If you currently already have a proper graphics card, you can use it in that motherboard (it supports both AGP and PCI express), otherwise I recommend a Geforce 7600GT.

For the motherboard you need to make sure it has the same Socket as the CPU you want and it says it supports the CPU (such as Core 2 Duo support). PCI-Express (16x) is the current standard for Video cards so you will probably want to pick a board that has 1 of those on the board.

Also, you might want to pick a board that uses a good chipset. It's a small chip built onto the board that connects a lot of things so they can talk back and forth. When you look at a motherboard it will usually say if it has an Intel chipset, Nvidia, or ATI. I'd recommend one of those brands.

Dunno your budget but a PC on a low budget but still great performance is

C2D E6300
X1900GT
1GB DDR2

dude I would but it's out of budget, so I'm planning for AMD processor.
