Plantronics DSP 500 HeadPhones

I've got this problem with them but i've just ignored it or worked around it for several month's.

Ok what happen's is they will start making a funny sound while still trying to play game music/sound FX every so often. It seems random to me when it happens but it's quite annoying because the only way to make it stop is by restarting the game. The sound is hard to explain and i don't know how to make a recording or would i be able to host it so i'll try and explain it.

"gaaaaaaargggghhhhhhhhhh*game music all distorted*gaaaaaaaargggghhhhhhhhhh"

I think it could be a driver issue, because i don't think they are faulty. How do i make sure every single kind of sound driver has fully been removed from my PC (any programs that check?). I've had audigy2 on here and motherboard sound drivers on here to, all have been un-installed. Thanks for anyone that can help.

If your audigy 2 is still on your system you can try some of these things.

Do you have your control settings pannel set up for headphones or 5.1 speakers?

Did you configure or calibrate your headphones in the control pannel?

Just go into the speaker settings menu and adjust the bass and noise output untill you hear the sound stop.

It could just be a sound that your headphones are incapable of playing so you just hear the gaaargh sound.

Well these plantronic's come with there own drivers and control panel. I've changed everything i can to use plantronic's headphones as output sound. The gaargh isn't constant, only randomly does it sometimes and they are USB only so i can't even use my audigy2 card with them which sucks.

It's not a major problem, more of an annoyance that i'd rather didn't exsist.

Edit/ Think i've found my problem now, according to the help bit they are'nt compatable with ****ing XP. Mo-****in-O :frown:

A mod can close/delete this if they want to.
