Playstation and Nintendo's Popularity Gap Closing

i'm so sick of people comparing things via something as STUPID and USELESS as google trends, google fight or whatever.

.. and yes, i came in here expecting something decent or at least remotely based on [a] fact(s).

- i'd like to emphasize the name, "google TRENDS" -- see what i'm getting at ? i really, really hope you do.

- also, this is nothing against you whitezero, since the creation of things like this people have been whoring them and actually making out they're worth something and not just something fun to mess around with for a few minutes.

Wow, someone is cheerful. It IS facts destrukt. It's how many times someone has used google to search that word(I guess? Wow maybe you are right WTF does this mean?), and also it's a new tech introduced from google, so I think the post didn't deserve that but, I know you mean well

Wow look at Xbox it's got twice the hits as Playstation and Nintendo

To be honest I don't know what the fleck I'm reading. :P

Geez, from these graphs you'd think the sales figures would match up in a very different way. I wouldn't use these for anything other than maybe teasing your e-friends since no one will really know what the hell these things are really depicting with any accuracy.

In other news. People clearly like ass more than boobs:

While I won't dispute that is true, it's clearly misled by the meaning of ass, therefore the search is invalid. Try legs or butt or asses?

Nope, boobs totally owns those search words.

EDIT: well i tried

sex,work

and of course sex is like a billion times more popular of a search.

What is ironic is that you can see countries like Iran ... like 1% of searches were for work, and the other 90,000,000 searches were for sex. ...........? LOL

heh, do a search for poo. I'm so proud to be British :)

woh - lolita, those dirty turks!

Playstation and Nintendo (company product vs company name)
People search by PS2, N64, or GC as well.

Xbox is about as short as you get though for a search term with them. Only 1 search term for Xbox would make it come up more popular on the chart of course.

I dont think it is exactly accurate or the whole picture but interesting trend. ;)

hahah this shit is pretty cool man. You can like spy on everybody. :E You can see what mother****ers are searching in each country, city, region.

Iran are some damn perverts. All they use the net for is for porn.

Telling as these figures may be (:dozey:), popularity will be decided by sales figures. I personally can't wait to see holiday sales figures for this coming season. I have no idea what to expect!!!

I hear you bro. I knew not to try Microsoft though, and I thought PS might be too short of an abbreviation.

Good call with the reasoning. I believe without a doubt that you are right, without even trying PS or GC, but I figured Nintendo, and Playstation would bring up more search results for them than N64, GC, DS, PS, PS1, PS2, PS3, Sony etc., because that is so very specific.

So in my example I used Playstation, Nintendo, Xbox. Thats all.

It's a tool that may have some uses, but it means really nothing like Victim said - it's about the sales and profits.
