It's been many months in the works, but finally Pi Mu Rho has released his much anticipated pl_indigo payload map. The quality of Pi's maps have always been astonishingly high as seen from his work on Zombie Master and upcoming Half-life Short Stories. Pi has kindly provided a server for us to play the new map as well as an updated version of the omega redux (CTF map).[br]You can join the server at any time and take a look, however we will be gathering together at 7:00pm GMT / 2:00pm East Coast US for Halflife2.net to play together, make sure you're there! Check out the screenshots below and yes, the payload does have to cross a water obstacle in section 1![br]Other details:
  • IP - 85.236.100.30:28315
  • password - "omega"
  • Join our Steam Community to chat to find us in-game & talk about the maps
Download pl_indigo now here and ctf_omega redux here

I should just point out that it's only stage 1 of pl_indigo that you're getting to play here. You'll have to wait for the other stages.

Looks great as usual. I'll hop on for a round or two.

Oh score. I didn't even know you were still working on this. :)

because I forgot to fix it?

Bit short notice for me, so I missed all the first hour. Omega looks as good as I can remember (not that I was able to pick up on any changes to it). The other one looks interesting but I didn't see much of it. Nice work anyway.

One doesn't. It's my server :)

I thought if one wanted to download it before hand, and then add it in some folder or something.

Maps are great ... need a little polish here and there but nothing serious ... payload is great i hope we will see full map with 3 stages soon

It was a great deal of fun to kick your asses

I have to say I was not a fan of custom maps at all until this news post came up and the screen shots came out.

Looks like some quality maps, will defiantly be checking them out.

Ohh..download the maps, put them in your \steam\steamapps\yourusername\team fortress 2\tf\maps directory.

-----------

It actually all went better than I expected. There's a few things that cropped up:

Omega:

Fix the eye-blistering HDR
A couple of clipping issues
A couple of placement issues

Indigo:

Rework the BLU compound to allow easier exit
Decrease setup time
Widen some corridors/stairs
Fix some object placements

I'll keep the maps on the server all week, so feel free to use it. I won't do another test version of omega, as it's more or less done, but I'll put a new version of Indigo up later this week and arrange another playtest. Oh, and maybe Stage 2 as well...

Thanks, guys.

i played from 6:15 to 8:30.
the maps were excellently made and seemed like valve had made them themselves.
There were a few minor bugs - sometimes it was hard to get ammo in places like in that little cart.
apart from that i didnt notice anything. Widen some stairs though. i kept falling off lol!
good job Pi!
