Please help! Connecting PSP to internet!

PLease, I have tried and tried to connect my PSP to the internet with my "wireless gateway." There's too much info (with the settings) to give, but if you ask I will provide it. I do have though a Motorola SBG900 Wireless SURFboard Gateway.

What exactly is the problem? Does the PSP not detect the wireless gateway? Does it connect but you have no internet access? What exactly is making it not work?

I tried connecting to the Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror lobby server and it reads:

"Failed to connect to the Dark Mirror lobby server. Please check your network connection and try again later."

When I try to connect to the internet, it connects to my access point, but can't connect with the internet. It reads "Failed."

Anything else?
