I just bought Garry's Mod and Counterstrike Source. I have a HP Compaq NX6310 Laptop. It has a 1.66GHZ Core Duo, 512MB of RAM, and a 945GM Chipset/Graphics. Whenever I start any one of these games they start to load normally, but when it goes to the main menu the screen turns black. I can move the cursor and hear the noise it makes going over the options. If I click blindly and somehow get it to start loading the game it comes up with a memory error. When I load Halflife Episode 1 The same thing happens except the main screen will eventually come up and its playable. I have googled, asked jeeves, and yahoo'd it till I dropped. Cannot find anything that works. If I cant figure this out I would like to return the games, but dont know if you can return games bought through steam. Please if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.
