Hello. Please help if you can...
Ok here it goes, I was updating steam the other day and my internet connection crashed in the middle of an update. So I tryed to launch steam again and update it. But then I got an error and it goes like this.
Name: InRecvMsgData state
Program: H:\leikir\Half life 2\steam.exe
File: Src\CSClientConnection.cpp
Line: 1765
m_curRecvSate == eRecvMSgData
(press retry to debug the application - JIT debugging must be enabled)
I didn't like that much so i started looking for solutions first i deleted "ClientRegistry.blob" and tryed to update again and that didn't work the same error appeared. So I deleted "platform.gcf" and tryed to update with that but steam then tryed to connect for 2 hours so i cancelled that and decided to uninstall steam and half life 2. I installed it all over again and was sure that it would solve it. But when i launched steam another error came "couldn't load platform.gcf" then i tryed to update and launch steam again but then i got my first error (the big one up there) so I tryed to reinstall steam and hl2 many..many times on a different hard disk but the same error came but one time it changed to this error.
Name: IsInitializedOrFinished
Program: H:\leikirHalf life 2\steam.exe
File: \p4clients\rel_beta\projects\common\misc\EventloopThread.cpp
Line: 486
M_eState == eStateInitialized || m_eState == eStateFinished
(press retry to debug the application - JIT debugging must be enabled)
and sometimes this one
Name: Non-null m_pOwnedObj
Program: H:\leikir\Half Life 2\steam.exe
File: ..\..\..\Common/Misc\ThreadSafeCountedPtr.h
Line: 274
m_pOwnedObj
(press retry to debug the application - JIT debugging must be enabled)
and one time like this
Steam.exe (main exception): Win32 StructuredException at 0071000C : attempt to exexcute an instruction whose operation is not allowed in the current machine mode.
So this was getting a little funky because i uninstalled all steam files and hl2. Some people say these errors are becuase of Xfire or bitdefender but I don't have those or any that are alike. Some say it is a virus but I cleaned my computer with Avast and ad-aware. But i was wondering when i installed hl2 and steam that it never downloaded the "security files" like when i first installed it so i thought maybe they are corrupted but i can't find those files to delete.
So please help me the best you can or I will probably have to format my computer and I don't even have a windows disk :bonce:
