Please Help (reinstalling sdk)

This new update is coming through (i'm on 56k and its painfully long)... Well I don't really want this update, and since I can't use hammer while its updating, is there anyway to reinstall the sdk and turn off the auto update?

I don't plan to release any maps or anything I make right now, basically i Just map and stuff for myself.... Any help would be appreciated.

Could some one please help...

My game (half life 2) is stuck at 99% complete, I can't run in offline mode whatsover and it tells me its going to take over 1043 minutes to update the sdk...

I don't want all this stuff. I actually got half life 2 to work for a second while I was online (offline mode is a no go) it stuttered over and over (never had that problem, do now) then a message came up and said "source fatal error" and it all crashed back to the desktop.

Please help me guys, I'm stuck in my house because of all this freakin' snow and I'm about to go mad because i'm in this tiny house with nothing to do and my parents and ugh, help
