Please help the wife of a HL2 Fan

Ok, I'm not even sure this is where I should post such a topic, but as stated in the title, I'm the wife of a HL2 fan. My husband has already completed the game, but I wanted to do something special for him for Christmas. Since you guys are HL2 fans, what would you want besides the game? Are there any gadgets, computer upgrades or shirts with the HL2 or Valve logo on it? Any advice?

Kingthebadger: I guess you wouldn't, sorry. I subscribed to the forums just now, because I couldn't find anything on the net. I thought you guys might have a better idea.

KoreBolteR: I haven't even thought of that! We don't have a lot of money, so I guess anything up to $200. I'd consider something more expensive if it was really good.

Anyway, Maybe you can contact valve and inquire about teeshirt prices? I'm sure if you made an arrangement with them you could buy a teeshirt or hat or something from them.

you could get him a custom made hl2 computer case, which looks like this:

If you can, contact one of the employees at Valve (perhaps Gabe, gaben@valvesoftware.com) and ask them about signed posters/T-Shirts. They are known for giving them out to fans that ask, and I'm sure in your case they'd be happy to help out.

Thats something personally I wouldn't mind getting for chirstmas.

For $200, hmm... Being as serious as possible(I'm not a very serious guy), I would have to say maybe a nice speaker system. I would make sure he has a sound card that can support 5.1 sorround sound. Go out and buy him like a $60 dollors 5.1 sorround sound speaker system. That would really make him love HL2's sound alot more. Makes it...fell so much better from what I hear. I dun know......

Else there is always what my mom gets my dad...
Some pants..a shirt...etc..

Personally im Athiest(though my mom & dad are christian(I went to CCD for like till 6th grade) so I celebrate christmas as like a "close to the end of the year tradition" type thing.).

Does it matter if she is real or not? Do some lunatic stab you in the face if you help her but she is fake?

Seriusly, do you lose ANYTHING should she be fake? Why do people always have to question every insignificant thing if it is on the internet?

a wife that plays HL2 would be a good enough christmas present for me :)
 
dress up as alyx is a bad idea..
get him a crowbar and paint it like the one in hl2 ..or the signed stuff .
tour of valve would be the ultimate gift.

Get him a staff signed HL2 poster and also a HL2 T-Shirt of his choosing signed by the whole valve staff.Hell 30 bucks right there...and you would make him happier than a kid in a candy store.
 
Actually, dressing up as alyx would be rather funny, but I doubt he would notice. We (Blokes) rarely notice things like that. After all, people don't tend to associate games and real life that well, so unless you say "I'm Alyx" he will just think you bought a new jacket or something.

Actually, thinking about it, my missus has a thing for Gordan (Don't ask). Anyone know where I can get a hazard suit from for chirstmas???

i thought this was going to be something interesting, like you telling us how your husband plays this game 21 hours a day, doesn't look after his kids and has been fired from 3 jobs because he is always playing hl2 ... i feel ripped off.

You can you Alt + 0160 untill you fix that problem. Space bar: " ", Alt + 0160: " " Hoorah.

Edit: Or just copy a space from somewhere else and use Ctrl + v every time you need a space, that would be simpler.
