Its bad enough that the game has more than a good chance of traveling down the depressing dark console path that other good PC releases have gone down (ghost recon, rainbow six, deus ex). But do we realy need to listen to those xbox retards, I mean common, let them come up with there own franchise site. Besides the less support the xbox version gets the less chance that we dont see half life 3 on the PC. I for one am tierd of consolitus in games, Pariah just got released and so did cold fear and the consolitus is a desies that even dr. Freeman cant cure. Lets wash our hands and ware haz suits in public to stop the spred.

Interesting thought. This is a Half Life 2 community, so it should encompass Half Life 2 for X-Box.

That said, I don't expect there will be any major technical issues (it's only being coded for one single piece of kit which is identical throughout the world), so we won't be awash with X-Boxers complaining about how they can't get their game working.

The game will probably be shorter than the PC version (much akin to Doom 3 was) due to the restrictions of the platform, so if anything, we'll probably get people bitching that it was too short - and we've had that already with the PC version from some, so not much will change really.

Either way the only way to stop gangreen with out antibiotics is to cut off the limb. And there is no antibiotic for consolitus once it takes a sieries, you either recover on your own and live with it for live like splinter cell does, or you die like rainbow six, deus ex, unreal (yes its dieing just look at pariah or unreal championship), ghost recon, and may others. We realy shouldent chance half life, expecialy with its outdated console style combat, its prime pickings for rape by the xbox. Also there is no way in hell im going to buy an xbox 2 just to play half life, for christ sake the thing has a system where mods arnt released, their sold, you sell mods, thats blastphemy in all that us PC gamers stand for, we shouldent take risks to these console kids who dont have a decent job to buy a good PC so they leach of there parents and piss us off by f---ing up good games. Please people band together with me and fight these children of rich microsoft pussys.

There's no use in having a topic solely focused on the bashing of console users.

I'd like to add however that contrary to popular belief, there is absolutely nothing wrong with consoles.
"Consolitus", which I suppose is when a game is released on several platforms and poorly optimised on the PC, is not the consoles' fault but the developer who obviously is too greedy/lazy to make a game work decently on all platforms but just hype it up and release it.

However, with Half-Life 2, the game has already been optimised for and released on the PC, so what's the deal in complaining? Why shouldn't Xbox users get to enjoy this game everybody loves?
