Plug ATA 100 Device into ATA 133?

Can you plug an ATA 100 device (DVD Rom, HD, anything as far as that) into an ATA 133 port.

Asking because I am planning on upgrading my mobo, but I can't afford to do the devices too, but the mobo only has one ATA 100 (two devices) and two ATA 133 ports, when I need two ATA 100's.

Will it work? Thanks for any help.

Yes. Example, CD drives are ATA-33/66.
