GAH!

Got my new graphics card the other day and thought i would give DoD Source a spin to see how it plays....and every-time i tried to connect to a server the server would force me to download loads of utter-crap!

Is there a console command to stop downloading this rubbish in DoD/CSS/HL2DM?

The comments for Concerned had a description how to stop downloading sounds in the comments for a part.

cl_downloadfilter "nosounds"

You can use "all" as well I think, but that will break map and spray downloads too.

V-Man's Opinion on Downloading Servers

There was a Steam Forums page that detailed what to do to permanentley make it so that in Source games you don't have to download sounds at all!.:O
