Png too high?

Sorry for the dumb question, but I've been playing TF2 for about a week now, enjoying the hell out of it, especially playing soldier. However, every once in a while I get booted off a server because my png is too high. What the...?

I generally wait for the server list to load up, then scroll until I find one that has a match running and isn't already full. Often times I can play for a round or two before I get booted, usually right after I really get into the gameplay.

Could someone be kind enough to explain what this means and if it's correctable (outside of elective surgery...).

When choosing a server pick the one one with the lowest latency. The higher your ping is the more lag your going to get. Best thing to do is to arrange the list by latency.

Also, it's ping, not png.

Unless you're talking about picture formats.

Comcast should be fast enough (cable right?). Just refresh all your TF2 servers and sort the ping. The lower the ping the better, try to join one less than 50ms.
