It's still a neat concept.Pokemon is soo 2000...
It's still a neat concept.
I've been playing it for a couple days. Brings back memories from the old Red/Blue days
I have Pearl - started with Chimchar (Monferno now) and is lvl 32
I remember this.
Lucid, from what my friend tells me (he is a hardcore poketard) it's the same catch and battle formula, but new elements have been added and some other things have been expanded.
Haven't played a single Pokemon game since... Gold actually.
When was that released? 1999? 2000?
How much has the formula changed since then?
I remember I could name all the original 150 pokemon, but you're right, the new ones do suck.Red and Blue rocked but then when they kept adding more and more Pokemon it just got dumb.

I started with Chimchar too-How'd you get past the first gym? All of my Pokemon get raped by rock types (unless Plants can dominate rock types, cause I do have a planet Pokemon but I don't want to level him up unless I know that he'll actually be useful).
Duh Grass dominates rock. Duhhhhhhh.

I concur, looking at them all...
I was fine with Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, and Silver... as the Pokemon in them were still fresh creations that had fairly original traits.
Christ, I can't even believe I'm talking about this.
I haven't spoken about Pokemon since... elementary school.
I have caught you in your web of lies!
According to your profile, you were born in 1987 and would have been in Junior High starting in September 2000.
According to http://www.gamespot.com/gbc/rpg/pokemongold/index.html?q=Pokemon Gold&tag=result;title;0
Pokemon Gold/Silver was released in October of 2000
Junior High Pokemon Player! Point and laugh!
(If I had a DS I'd so be playing Pokemon Pearl/Diamond right now)
I'm sorry <3:|...
I hate you all.
