Police officer arrests a firefighter...

Yes, harass the rescue team about where they parked their vehicle instead of letting them do their job and save someone's life. Nice work!

That's like black on black crime right there. You don't hurt your brothers in the uniform when they're doing your job, jesus.

Firefighters should torch his house and get there too late.

"I couldnt find a place to park"

Officer should have got fired.

Really, the world doesn't need cops like that.

"I couldnt find a place to park"

Ultimate burn.

Literally too.

But you know for some reason, I think there's a huge rivalry between firefighters and police men. At least that's the way TV and movies and stuff always depict it. Why? Any basis in reality?

I'm searching for police officer arrests firefighter, and there's all sorts of situations where police officers are arresting firefighters, and the two getting into fights and the officers arresting the firefighters etc.

Thats because one team saves live the other destroys them. :)

According to liveleak, the police officer was fined $18,000 USD. The firefighter parked there to protect emergency crew workers. Perhaps enough for a disagreement, but not enough for an arrest, you file a complaint about this sort of thing, not interfere during an emergency.

Just because your a police officer doesn't mean you can do anything you ****ing want to. They're supposed to be a service.

Supposed to be. Policing as a career naturally attracts dickwads, no big surprise. There's good ones and a whole lot of bad ones, unfortunately the system largely allows them to get away with things no civilian ever would.
When I was being lifted into the ambulance on a spinal board after a traffic accident, the police in attendance were trying to ask me all sorts of questions about what happened after I'd just suffered an extremely traumatic experience and some rather horrific injuries.
They were trying to delay the ambulance from taking me to hospital so they could ask their stupid questions, despite the fact that I had dislocated my ankle and if they'd left it a few more minutes to fix it I probably would have lost my foot through lack of blood supply.
The feeling I got from the paramedics was that the police are generally a pain in the arse that stop them from doing their job properly. And then to add insult to injury, they recovered my bike to a storage compound and charged me 200 quid to get it back, despite me specifically telling them that I had my own breakdown cover that would take it back to my house free of charge.
Right little scam they've got going on there.

They're just interested in doing their job, with no concern as to how their actions might be inappropriate, obstructive or downright dangerous in the wider context of events.

Isn't it standard procedure to park on the shoulder of the highway and NOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ****ING LANE?

Stupid driver and stupid cop.

Not when it comes to accident scenes. Oftentimes police officers, ambulances and firetrucks will block off as much of the highway as they can.

I saw them doing just that saturday night on my way back from my uncle's house. There were like 10 police cruisers, 2 firetrucks and three ambulances at the scene of this one highway wreck. I was surprised to see that many

What would be better? Having a truck parked there to protect the emergency services or having that 3rd nearside lane open with traffic going past mere feet away from where they're working? Try and remember the emergency services don't have eyes in the back of their heads whilst they're concentrating on the accident victim and may need to approach the wrecked vehicle from the roadside of the car with specialist equipment...

Three lane highway. 60mph.

One lane to drive on. Creates congestion. Middle lane has to merge with oncoming left lane. I'm surprised no one got rear ended by how fast that fire truck stopped in the middle of a highway.

Its a choice between a bit of traffic congestion or a few splattered emergency service workers...

Step 1: Get 2 cops.
Step 2: Make them hit each other.
Step 3: Make then threaten to arrest and spell out consequences
Step 4: Repeat step there

Omg, right when they pulled up, who was driving the mofo FireTruck?

The driver hopped out while it was still moving?!

:O

No the wheel is on the other side in the US you numpty...
