Police Officer shot after forcefully entering house...

The officer burst in without a search warrant or warning? Or they were making a legal arrest?

Prayers go out to the officer but if they were bursting in the man was defending his home probably.

If they were making an arrest legally/ the guy had done something he should get attempted murder charges.

Heh, you forget that this is the UK.

The guy was shot, we British don't own guns remember :P It would have been an illegal firearm. And anyway, we have laws to do with reasonable force. Unless the police man was aiming something at him or trying to stab him, the shooter was in the wrong.

Hope he makes it. :)

i think he'll be fine...hes said to be alright

you read about stuff like this all the time but when it's on your doorstep, it feels completley different. i remember a little bit further down the road from where that is STILL happening, there was a double murder in front of a shoe factory ...couldn't believe that either

troubled area is rossendale...stay away from here

Then how the hell can we bring you breasts if the messenger is going to get shot?

They were just doing interviews apparently.

$5 says the shotgun guy was a little mental to begin with.

Watching the morning news, and it seems like he ( shotgun dude ) was found dead when they went in later on

I hate the guys that camp doors, if only the police force had 200$ to buy a flashbang this could have been avoided :(

There was a video on the ITV news of him shooting it out of the window. He had petrol bombs too.

downside of society

the thing that tipped him over the edge was the fact he'd been handed an eviction notice from the council so he thought he'd go postal

Well, the police were investigating an ASBO thingy.
