This is an awesome thread. I haven't the mental capacity to do this right now but I think I should make a list like this anyway.

One is that I think it's absolutely disgusting and sick that so much money and time and stuff has been spent on better ways to kill and destroy and annihilate fellow human beings.

I believe war, however horrible, is sometimes nessecery for the continued prosperity of the fatherland.
I believe that drugs and tobbacco should be banned and violators be punished with 5+ years.

I believe the great Republic of Korea is the best country in the world, no matter what others might say. :p

I believe in war. Though it is not morale, or does not fix the problem or whatever (my ass), it DOES re-assure that society will progress in the right direction. America has not seen enough bad times, that's why there are so many immoral things going on in NA. Think about it, because of war Poland has become probably one of the most religious and morale countries in the world.

BTW I would find it disshonorable fighting for Canada.

EDIT: Where in the world did this mentallity that war is not the answer come from? No WW2 would = me speaking in German.

I believe in equality among people regardless of sex and heritage.
I believe I have the right to do what I want with my body so long as it does not harm others.
I believe that war can solve problems, but only if it is backed by the right intentions.
I believe that homosexuality is something you're born with or predetermined for. Either way it's outside of a person's control.
I believe that needless cruelty to animals is wrong, but I won't be so naive as to deny the benefits of their fates.
I believe in secularism.
I believe that the natural human state is one of progression and there's no sense in going backwards.
I believe that questioning and criticising your government is the most patriotic thing you can do.

I do not believe in the death penalty for technical and moral reasons.
I am against religious establishments out of principle, but will accept your right to practice within them.
I abhor any policy/law that criminalizes dissent.
I do not believe that the history of a nation should fully dictate its current state of affairs (ie. "This has always been a Christian nation!").
This one may be controversial, but I do not believe that a soldier should automatically be viewed as some sort of noble hero, even if he loses limbs in combat.

I believe that all people despite sex, religion, ethnic group ("race"), country or sexual preference are born and remain equal, and that the government must do everything in its power to make sure that these values are being defended in alll sectors of society.
I believe that social security is necessary in a democracy.
I believe that all education, health- and dental care and pharmacy are born rights must remain free of charge.
I believe that freedom of speech is on of the basic foundations in a democracy, but that no person should have to put up with harassments or insults because of this freedom.
I believe that war is the downside of humanity.
I believe that nationalism and patriotism is a step towards fascism.
I believe that religion and moral issues should have no part in politics.
I believe that the most important subject in school is history, as that is the best way to understand today's society.
I believe that death penalty and torture is unacceptable in a democracy.

Just listen to the rhythm of my heart!

Well, Absinthe pretty much said exactly what I believe in his post but also:

I believe two wrongs don't make a right, except in maths.
I believe 'an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth' leaves you eyeless and toothless.
I believe you should never stop thinking.
I believe there's a good chance that I'm wrong and I believe in acknowledging that chance and trying to make it smaller.
I believe that cats are cuddly.
Absinthe already said this but I believe it can't be stressed enough: I believe in doing anything you damn well want unless it harms other people.
I believe that humans can do good.
I believe that if everyone was really nice to eachother, the world would be pretty good.
I believe that sounds ridiculous but when you think about it it's probably true.
I believe very firmly in the 'golden rule' - do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

I don't believe I have your stapler, Short Recoil. :D

I believe the government should stay out of private affairs.
I believe federal administration must not unnecessarily meddle with state level affairs.
I believe government should not impose unnecessary taxation.
I believe government must not pass unnecessarily 'restricting' laws.
I believe people should be independent and self-sufficient.
I believe people may not be 'forced into' doing anything they do not agree to.
I believe people should not rely on the government for anything, simply use it as supplementation.
I believe all forms of protest are acceptable, so long as they do not infringe upon another's rights. For example- protesting outside a building is fine. When you start preventing people from going in, leaving, or using the street outside you are infringing on THOSE people's rights and need to be stopped.
I believe in freedom, economically and socially. That nobody's rights may be infringed in the name of anything.

I don't believe in abortion because it infringes on another human being's right to life.
I don't believe the first ammendment of the constitution is safe in this nation without the second, and vice versa.
I don't believe pacifism at all costs of life and liberty is in any way moral or honorable.

Ah, which reminds me.

I do believe in abortion as a legitimate course of action to take.

A few more.

I believe world poverty can be beaten…and should be.
I believe global warming is man made and needs to be addressed.
I believe HIV, Aids can and will be cured.
I believe racism, bigotry and intolerance is unacceptable.

I don’t believe in resorting to violence, but would, to defend myself, my family and friends.
I don’t believe we will make it to the next millennium.

I'll be fo real now.

I believe in freedom of the individual.
I believe we are all born free.
I know we are not equal.
I believe in abortion.
I believe in capital punishment.
I find it hypocritical when someone is pro-life and supports capital punishment.
I believe anyone who doesn't try in education should be shot and stop wasting everyone's mother****ing time.
I believe we, as a society, don't care about anything meaningful anymore.

I don't believe in nationalism, communism, anarchy, fascism, theocracy, etc.
I don't believe in...a thing called love.

Nah I'm joshing ya. <3.

I believe that every human being have same rights like everyone else.
I believe communism is evil.
I believe in just war against terrorism.
I believe in birth control and that every woman has the right to choice.
I believe drugs are bad.
I believe there is secret global government.
I believe that cruelty to animals is crime

I don’t believe in communism, fascism, nationalism, only one right religion...
I don’t believe in blindly following any political masters.
I don’t believe in God.
I don’t believe real communistic paradise.

etc.

Please do not beat me...

This will probably be called flame-bait, but here goes:

I believe that anyone who tries to kill themselves, unless they live in truly terrible circumstances, does not sdeserve the life that was gifted to them, and the life they are trying to end.

I believe in total personal freedom (as regards drugs, sexuality etc), so long as that freedom does not infringe upon the rights of others.
I believe in total freedom of speech.
I believe education and healthcare should be freely available to all, and that this is very important in ensuring true equality.
I believe social security is vital (for the same reasons) and that its benefits outweigh its problems.
I believe that limits on the power of corporations is essential to maintainign a democracy.
I believe in secularism (but those who choose to do so are obviously free to practice whatever religion they want).
I believe that the death penalty is never justified.
I believe that Patriotism is Nationalism is Jingoism, and is inherently intolerant, illogical, xenophobic, arrogant and above all, dangerous.
I believe in the right to Abortion (but just because think you have the right to use it doesnt mean that I approve of it).

I don't believe in discrimination on the grounds of race, gender, sexuality, age etc is ever justified.
I don't believe in God.

I think that just about covers it...

I'd say that you should be allowed to do whatever you want with your own life, including ending it. However, this does not stop you being a ****ing idiot for doing so.

I dont think I (For example) should have any control over people, but I still think that topping yourself because of whatever stupid reason (EG 14 year old relationship ending) means you are not worth enough as a person to have lived in the first place.
However, I have a lot of respect for someone who becomes deppressed enough to kill themself, but ultimately doesnt do it

-I believe that man has a free will to do whatever he pleases that should not be infringed by anyone.
-I believe that a person's conscience tells them exactly what is right and wrong, and I believe that most people don't follow their consciences.
-I believe that war is always evil and that the reason for war is people being greedy.
-I believe that abortion is an intrinsically evil act that does nothing to further progress the wellbeing of humanity. I always think "what if Jesus was aborted?"
-I believe that homosexuality is an evil, but not something that government should have a say in.
-I believe that the death penality is not a just means of punishment. Instead the prison system should take a limb for the severity of a crime. If you murder someone, take their arms. If a person murders more than one person, take their arms and legs. More than twenty, take their genitals along with the previous.
-I believe that abortion doctors are executioners.
-I believe that there is a heaven and a hell and if you don't do what you know is right, then you will go to one of the two.
-I believe that man has a propensity for laziness, but a drive for good.

I beleive that everyone was born different.
I beleive that a higher station in life should be giften to those who are better than others
i beleive that everyone should have a chance at a important station in lif, but I beleive that giving one when to someone that doesnt have the ability to use it is moronic

I believe that beer is the greatest invention in the history of mankind

Eh what?

Beliefs that i don't share:
-I believe that a person's conscience tells them exactly what is right and wrong, and I believe that most people don't follow their consciences.

I don't believe that anyone should believe that they're 100% right. Apart from maybe in the belief that nobody should believe they're 100% right.

If you see what I mean.

If somebody doesn't think they're right though.. why would they hold those opinions?

Unless you mean in situations where they learn new things. But based on say, everything I am aware of at this moment, certainly all my opinions are correct. It would make absolutely no sense for me to hold them if they weren't.

That wouldn't make sense. All I'm saying is, I don't think you can ever be entirely sure that you're absolutely 100% right about things. 80 or 90% sure, if we're going to be numerical about it. But considering the wide array of opinions in the world and the possibility that something you might see or hear of might change your opinion...how can you ever be completely and utterly sure?

The amount of stuff we don't know greatly outweighs what we do know. So to believe that your beliefs are all completely accurate is just ludicrous. Not to mention, it makes it even harder for that person to change their views, even in the face of overwhelming evidence.

I get what you're saying now, hard for me to explain but I see how you mean like you could always find out some other circumstance that changes your opinion.

For example like if in the future say the cow suddenly found a way to communicate and showed it was sentient on a level with us. I'd probably no longer eat beef :p. But given what I'm aware of now, I'm going to do it.

So with everything I am aware of at the moment, all of my opinions are 100% correct.

Mine are 120% correct, so nyah. Stick THAT in your pipe and smoke it!

I believe that I am not capable of posting my beliefs without turning this post into a deranged essay. :)

This is the shortest form I can make: "Praise oligarchy! Sterilise the plebes! No upstanding citizen deserves poverty! Politicians are Satan!"

I don't really feel like expressing my points of view (mainly because I can't remember what they are), but you should get a clear idea of what my beliefs are by reading my posts.

I've got a whole mixture of beliefs ranging across the spectrum. For me, they all seem to be common sense, judged from experience of life. Obviously my views will change as I gain more experience and maturity.

I believe that stuff happens.

I believe in care and happiness for all humanity.
I believe in being intelligent and learning.
I believe in communication.
I believe in kindness.
I believe that veracity is the heart of morality.
I believe that we are useless unless we are useful to both others and ourselves.
I believe that war does not determine who is right, but who is more powerful.
I believe in fighting back.
I believe that fantasy (whether it be sexual, artistic, or etc) belongs in the private realm and not the public realm.
I believe god is dead and I believe we require god to live in harmony.
I believe the purpose of education should be to combat pride, prejiduce and ignorance.
I believe in unification.
I believe tradition should not be taken lightly.
I believe that power should reside in the hands of the people who are willing to use it responsibly and rightfully with the full intention of bringing propserity and freedom to all people.
I believe that the human lust for power will always create inequailty, and the way in which this power is distributed to the common man will be the defining factor of how free a society is.
I believe their is more to life than material and bodily pleasure.
I believe that hedonism is the means by which man puts him self on the throne of god in his imperfect state, and dictates for himself what the world is and should be like.
I believe that individual freedoms promote hedonism, and segragate people, thus creating the fragmentation of society and culture.
I believe the fragmentation of society and culture creates isolation.
I believe isolation is the worst thing you can do to a human being.
I believe death is natural and should not be feared.
I believe that nothing in the universe belongs to us, and that it is us that belongs to the universe.

I believe that the following beliefs are trivial and superficial and are not a prime factor of determining who I am.

I believe in marriage
I believe that abortion is unacceptable
I believe that homosexuality is wrong and that if it is not due to environmental factors, then it is a naturally occuring mental illness (like down syndrome for example)
I believe that corporations are not legal persons
I believe multinational corporations are the quintessesence of pure evil in thier pursuit for profit and power
I believe that corporations exploit societies susceptibility to hedonism
I believe that all corporations should be held responsible for what their products do
I believe that all drugs, unless absouletely necessary for the health of a person, should be banned
I believe cigarettes, alchol, condoms and any other products that encourage a material and bodily pleasure seeking society should be banned
I believe that all music that encourages material and bodily pleasure should be banned
I believe americans are being ruled by evil bastards that don't give a shit about anything except getting rich
I believe that westernised culture is disgusting and filthy
I believe alot of things

I do not believe that I am everything I believe in.
I do not believe that my beliefs are completely correct, and thus are of unwavering importance.
I do not believe in not believeing.
