Here is another "bushism" to add to the growing list. LMFAO!

At a rally of cheering supporters in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Bush made his usual pitch for limiting "frivolous lawsuits" that he said drive up the cost of health care and run doctors out of business.

But then he added, "We've got an issue in America. Too many good docs are getting out of business. Too many OB-GYNs aren't able to practice their love with women all across this country."

It is funny, if you actually know what an ob-gyn is and aren't so fixated on your love for bush that you can't joke about him once in a while.

I don't think this one is too bad, it is very obvious what he is trying to say...but it is still funny.
 
Errr.. Im not political and i know what an ob-gyn is.. but i dont really see how its all that funny :-/

I know what he is trying to say to, but i think its funny, also because the irony of him talking about frivalous lawsuites, then.. Ah, if i have to explain it to you then it won't be funny anyway so just forget it ok. :sleep:

Oh ok, sorry i live in Australia and i dont know much about American politics other then what i read every now and then in the paper or on here.
 
An "OB-GYN" is someone that specializes in Obstetrics (dealing with pregnancy and childbirth) and Gynecology (dealing with the female genitals). If he had said any type of doctor that didn't specialize in a field directly related to sex it wouldn't have been as funny. Anyway, who refers to doing their job as "practicing their love"?

I thought it was funny and it would be funny whatever politician said it. In fact, if Kerry had said it it would have been more exasperating because he's supposed to be the clever one.

And I have to ask the same question as Feath: What is an Ob-Gyn?
