Pool removes 6 year old's intestines

This has happened before, I read about it years ago. Those pumps are really powerful. Sucks for the little girl she's going to have a painful life from now on. :(
 
That sucks. It says she'll have to be fed intravenously from now on :(

That's ridiculous, no protection on those things? If they can suck peoples guts out I would expect severe safety measures.
 
Couldnt she just sit over the drain again whilst they set it to Blow?

Get it! I dunno - I've seen things like this turn out to be urban legends. The reporting website saw it on the parents' personal website and now it's disappeared? Are these people even journalists? What kind of report is that?
 
That blows wang if it actually happened.
 
John Edwards' big money case years ago was about a very similar incident to this.
 
Has anyone else heard of the story where a guy got a little too "friendly" with a hotel pool filter's intake nozzle and because of the suction, had to get the manager and paramedics to get him out of it. Can you imagine it if the suction was powerful enough to rip his best friend right off? :eek:
 
Dear God. That poor girl. And only 6? That ****ing golf club better finance her EVERYTHING for the rest of her life.

I read that one. It was sick.
 
I saw this on the news as well. I can't imagine how gruesome that must have been.
 
Unless the pool was powerful enough to tear apart her colon, I doubt this could happen. (You also have to ask yourself why pools, especially kiddy pools, have such potentially deadly devices?)

Assuming it's true, it's not really that difficult to believe. If they just put a small cage around it, it won't have that great of a suction if you come into contact with the cage, but it will still pull the same amount of water, so it won't hurt the efficiency of it.


Anwyay, I guess you could get an eyeball sucked out or whatever as well, I mean, there are parts of your body that are vulnerable.

The real question - was that 6 year old supervised? I'll be damned before I would have my 6 year old daughter is in the pool without me holding her, or at arms reach.
 
Also, she'd be wearing some kind of underpant, if that drain could tear clothing so easily, they need less power imo.
 
This has to be fake...wouldn't she bleed to death after something like that?

It's an intestine. Not that much blood no. I don't think, (though I'm no expert) that there are any arteries in the large intestine.

It's very thin and delicate. In fact, that's how they make sausages. they stuff the ground up shit into the pigs intestine, that's how they get that long connected set of links.


having your shit tube pulled out from your body happens to people that don't eat enough fruit. A hernia. If it happens from taking a huge crap, imagine what happens when a 200 gallon per minute water suction can do. If she sat on it, the suction was formed and there was no easier way for the water to travel; the path of less resistance.

If this isn't the case that calls for better safety measures or a hidden suction behind some locked gate, then nothing is.

I thouhg it was one of those things in the walls of the pull and she just put the belly over it and the thing ripped her skin

It's hardly the golf clubs fault, something as obviously dangerous as that should have been dealt with in the design stages. Not just to stop intestines being ripped out but feet and other things being sucked into it.
