May as well rigg together two pieces of news...[br]

While exciting for some, and drool worthy for others; The PopCap Collection is available for $9.95 a title. Even the new game Venice![br]

For those of you that love playing free games; why not join the "ThreadSpace: Hyperbol" stress test?[br]

ThreadSpace: Hyperbol is an action-strategy game set in the distant future. Players battle each other on roads in space as they pilot massive ships capable of firing a wide variety of weapons. Create defenses, coordinate with your team, and launch an assault against your opponents to achieve victory.

V-Man's opinion on the sale

I always thought that $20 for one of those popcap games was way overpriced and it should be more like $5, but this is a good start.

For example, we bought one of those popcap games for $20 and we played it for 5 hours and it was all really just the same game with some minor additions over the entire time, which in my opinion would be suitable for an arcade game. Now we bought Half Life Source (I know it honestley wasn't that great of a game but you get more for your money) and all we had to cough up was $10.
I rest my case.

I never knew they actually went so far as to rip-off a japanese company, and that in my opinion is just plain low.
I know that there's a bunch of games based off of previous engines.
There's Counter Strike, there's Opossing Force, and so on.
Valve actually let those people do that and make a quick buck off of it because they realised the guys needed money to keep up their great idea.
Heck they even helped them get off their feet!
Popcap on the otherhand basically stole from nintendo 10 years after the game was produced, put a new design over it, released a free demo of it on PC, and did absolutely nothing with Nintendo's consent. Not only did they do all that, but when Nintendo's lawyers sent an e-mail, they replied that "they basically don't give a shit".
I rest my case.
:frown:
