Port opening **HELP PLEASE**

Hi my friend needs help opening his router ports. so we can host a server. Can anyone tell me a good software which does this (free)
or could u tell me please.. thanks

just log into the router and open ports 27020 through 27050. Also open port 27015. These are the ports to open for Steam which are what every program uses in Steam. Garrysmod uses one of those ports when they are opened.

All you need. Just go to Forwarding, find the router and follow the instructions.

one problem....he doesnt know the username or password! what can he do! and its not "admin, admin" either

see if there is a hard reset button, usually a TINY button on the bottom of the router. You can go to the website and look for the online manual since most sites have them. Linksys, Netgear, etc. have their manuals in PDF format.

The username and password are usually default at "admin" and "password" without the quotes.

i think my linksys's default was 'admin' for the username and a blank password
